Facebook could you have the algorithm coders address the self-tunning AI engine/object recognition shortcomings (false positives) so that breast cancer images that are in compliance do not get taken down? The image in question is a reconstructed breast without a ni**le and was taken down on 11/23/2019.

Post-mastectomy images help raise awareness about breast cancer. Undergoing this life-changing experience and sharing images helps men and women facing a diagnosis, undergoing treatment, and those living with the scars of cancer.

The image taken down was within compliance of your community standards: "Uncovered female ni**les except in the context of breastfeeding, birth giving and after-birth moments, health-related situations (for example, post-mastectomy, breast cancer awareness or gender confirmation surgery) or an act of protest."

Today is the first-ever . While we smile, we work on accepting our new bodies. After being known as “The girl with the big boobs”, I NEVER thought I would end up flat. After being septic with MRSA, four additional surgeries, and almost 18 months on antibiotics With an open wound, this is my reality. I work to try to accept what has happened to me. I try to wear clothes that don’t call attention to my chest. I’m alive. And grateful that I am. B***s no longer define me. So I acknowledge this day as my new “normal” and hope it helps others accept their new flat chests.
