When a piece of American military history visits rural Idaho.
On Monday, I had gone out to my local airfield to catch an Islander that was operating in place of the usual Caravan flight, as it was arriving later than usual. When I arrived and did a position check on ADSB, an absolute legend popped up ahead of it.
I had missed this Douglas A-26C Invader named "Million Airess" from Million Air when she came through last year. Based out of Million Air Houston Hobby in Texas, this is certainly a very rare treat...and if it hadn't been for the late Islander, I'd have missed her again.
Million Airess is a highly decorated combat veteran, serving in combat during World War II, Korea, and Vietnam.
What a gorgeous piece of history...
