I am deeply humbled and moved to have been awarded in the 2025-2026 edition, 12th Fine Art Photography Awards: in the Open Theme series category in the Professional Level of Expertise. In a sea of thousands of worldwide, international, professional level entries, my work titled, Unravel was chosen to be recognized. Thank you to the panel of amazing, international and well renowned judges who saw me.

Unravel:
A series depicting an evolution into adulthood. A manifestation of oneself stepping into a new chapter of life. Bound my the vibrant, re fabric of familiarity, love and comfort that holds us in place we begin to pull at the infinite thread of the unknown. The one that is tucked away but the very one our soul is set on pulling. It is until we allow ourselves to be infinite that we are able to create the endless possibilities of our reality.

Introducing Elizabeth Tomanova, also known as Liza as my official photography assistant for events & weddings. Liza began her photography journey in high school and has expanded her knowledge behind the lens since she began assisting me a few years ago. Her eye for composition and understanding of lighting always enhances what and whom she shoots. Her sunny and bubbly personality always adds warmth to every event and wedding we have shot together and she always knows what I need without even asking.

"I am interested in portrait, wedding, landscape and detail photography. I plan to add to my knowledge in different techniques and styes."

This session is entitled: Unravel, Pull, Create

The meaning of this session in the words of the young woman photographed, Alyssa Tadeo:
"An evolution into adulthood. A manifestation for myself as I step into a new chapter of life.
1. Unravel - We are bound by the fabric that holds us in place. The fabric of familiarity, the fabric of comfort.
2. Pull - The infinite thread of the unknown. The one that is tucked away, but the very one our soul is set on pulling.
3. Create - It is until we allow ourselves to be infinite, we are able to create the endless possibilities of our reality."

This artist revealed her soul through a beautiful story that I was able to capture for her through my own artistry. The exchange was moving. We communicated through her expression of movement as a dancer and through my imaginative vision as a photographer. Two artists with such understanding and mutual respect for art and one another coming together was truly powerful.
