Well written article about entrepreneurs!
This is specifically about the hard work photographers put in over the years, but it really applies to all entrepreneurs.
Please don’t ever think the camera gear is what makes the photos great; yes, it helps so much, but many years of work is behind going from shooting a session to seeing the final beautiful products!
Kudos to all my amazing entrepreneur family and friends. I know the sweat and tears you’ve put into your craft! Well done!
Quote:
“How do you know you’re succeeding? When you make it look easy.
When we see those fabulous outcomes, everything that went into making them is invisible—all the hours, the failures, the late nights, the tears, and the self-doubt. In other words, all the work. We all know how hard it can be to make the result look easy. But the work behind it is hard. The work can mean years of practicing, polishing, and incremental improvement.
Doing the work for a photography entrepreneur can be a lot of different things—improving your photographic technique by reading, practicing, and seeking feedback; driving sales by spending time developing and testing your marketing plan; increasing your value to clients by understanding their needs and emotional catalysts; improving your productivity by developing, testing, and refining repeatable systems. It’s probably some or all of the above and more for you because being an entrepreneur is a big job.” -Jane Gaboury - Editor, PPA
Keep on doing your thing everyone. Don’t ever think just because someone makes it look easy that it’s easy - they have put in years of work to make it look easy - and it means they’re succeeding!
