Grateful to support the Program again this year.
Beyond the headshots, what stayed with me was the strong sense of community: classmates helping each other, lifting one another up with encouragement and care.
This is my third year contributing, and I’m continually inspired by rooms where the next generation of Southern Nevada leaders is being shaped.
These kinds of experiences remind me why I do this work: creating portraits that capture presence and potential.

Women in Leadership - Southern Nevada
In recognition of Women’s History Month, sharing the continuation of a portrait initiative that began in 2023 with the support and trust of Mary Beth Sewald.
This second edition brings together leaders across government, education, and economic and workforce development - women who collectively help drive Southern Nevada forward.

Mary Beth Sewald — President & CEO, Vegas Chamber
Mayor Shelley Berkley — City of Las Vegas
Mayor Michelle Romero — City of Henderson
Mayor Pamela Goynes-Brown — City of North Las Vegas
Jhone Ebert — Superintendent, Clark County School District
Danielle Casey, CEcD — President & CEO, Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance (LVGEA)
Lauri Perdue — Chair, LVGEA
Jerrie Merritt — Chair, Workforce Connections; Western Alliance Bank

This group represents a moment in time, with key leadership roles across the region held by women shaping policy, direction, and long-term growth.
Built over time, one leader at a time, this work came together through support and trust from many people along the way.
It’s been meaningful to document this group as part of an ongoing series on leadership in Nevada.
This work will also be featured in the Vegas Chamber Taking Care of Business magazine.

A Leadership Portrait Experience
Closing Women’s History Month with a portrait project I’m honored to share.
Leading Ladies in Philanthropy - Las Vegas
An experience where leaders are recognized, stand proudly alongside one another, and leave with timeless portraits that hold the energy of that moment.
In collaboration with Crystal Hirschi and Julie A. Murray, this portrait experience featured a group of women whose leadership shows through philanthropy and long-term impact:
Diana Bennett, Sandra Douglass Morgan, Elizabeth Blau, Blair Bigelow May, Cindy Ellis, and Christy Molasky.
Hosted at Hirschi Companies.
The session was designed to be efficient, structured, and respectful of each leader’s time, while creating both individual portraits and a meaningful sense of connection as a group.
Grateful to document this group.
The full feature will appear in the Vegas Chamber Taking Care of Business magazine.

Today at NAWB, I had the privilege of witnessing Workforce Connections receive national recognition as the inaugural winner of the Robert Knight Workforce Board of Distinction Award at The Forum 2026.

This award honors the legacy of Robert “Bob” Knight, whose work helped shape a more coordinated, customer-centered workforce system by strengthening the connection between public purpose and private-sector leadership.

Southern Nevada continues to set a strong example of what real partnership looks like: leaders across workforce, business, education, and government aligned to support employers and grow our economy.

I also had the opportunity to witness the signing of a regional partnership agreement between Workforce Connections, Vegas Chamber, and Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance (LVGEA), reinforcing a shared commitment to align workforce and economic development efforts for long-term impact.

It’s especially powerful to see workforce and philanthropy beginning to align: expanding how we support individuals and businesses through both strategy and resources.

Grateful to be in the room with the people doing this work: learning, observing, and continuing to document leadership across our community.

It was also meaningful to see portraits I created for several leaders: including Jaime Cruz, Mary Beth Sewald, and our Mayors, displayed throughout the event.

Great LVGEA networking event today at the Las Vegas Aces headquarters during the 2026 State of Economic Development.

Always inspiring to be in the room with leaders discussing Southern Nevada’s future, reconnect with familiar faces, meet new people, and share ideas for future collaborations.

And I couldn’t resist capturing a quick moment in front of this beautiful Aces backdrop.

For many introverted creators, we’re most comfortable behind the camera. Being in front of it can feel surprisingly awkward.
As photographers, we’re trained to see details before pressing the shutter. That’s why it can be hard to trust others to take our photos.
Recently I started experimenting with something simple: setting up my own selfie frames at events. A tripod, a remote, a bit of trial and error: learning my angles, timing, and how to step into the frame.
Yesterday at Sony Creative Space during WPPI, I joined Sara France’s photowalk and watched how she works. One thing she shared resonated with me: great portrait photographers direct and connect with people far more than they click the shutter.
Later I set up a quick selfie frame, spotted two small chairs, and asked Sara to join me. I realized I was instinctively doing what we do with our clients: directing the moment to create a fun image.
A cool reminder that photography isn’t just about the camera.
It’s about seeing the moment before it happens.
Great meeting you, Sara France.

Ten years ago, I attended WPPI for the first time.
That was the year I decided to start Kim Photography LLC.
Today, I returned, a decade later.
So much has changed. Technology. The industry. We’re now adapting to an AI-driven world. But one thing hasn’t changed: understanding the person always comes first.
I was inspired listening to Annie Leibovitz speak about her philosophy on portraiture. To create a true essence portrait, you must understand the person beyond their title and role.
Ten years later, I’m still learning, refining and growing.
Grateful to live in Las Vegas, a city that brings world-class voices together to inspire thousands of us to level up.
The journey continues.

Nikki Fargas represents a generation of executives redefining professional sports leadership: grounded in performance, sustained by preparation, and measured by impact.
Documenting leaders like her is a reminder that true authority is built long before it is seen.

Headshots with Purpose

At the 25th Anniversary – Magic of Discovery event, I donated a headshot voucher in support of the Discovery Children’s Museum. Dr. Taryn Bragg was the recipient.

Dr. Bragg is the only full-time, board-certified pediatric neurosurgeon in Nevada, a role defined by responsibility, precision, and service to families across our state.

Our session was deeply collaborative from start to finish: clear communication, thoughtful coaching, shared image selection, and careful refinement. This kind of process resonates with leaders whose work demands accuracy, judgment, and trust.

This project felt especially meaningful as I’ve also had the privilege of photographing Melissa Kaiser, President & CEO of DISCOVERY Children's Museum’s Museum, and continue to support organizations investing in children, education, and community impact.

Proud to give back through the work I love, and to document leaders whose service truly matters.

Exact 2 years ago.
Through the Workforce Connections podcast series, I gained access to a room of mentors and leaders. I learned how leaders think, decide, and carry responsibility - lessons you don’t get from books alone.
Grateful for the conversations, the trust, and the perspective that continue to shape how I work.
