You know living in downtown Chicago in a high rise building does have some really fun perks. For example getting to see the Blue Angels do some practice runs in preparation for this weekends airshow!

It may have taken me a while but I have finally started to get around to some of the fun photo projects from . Here is hopefully the first on many of a series I have had in the works for the last couple of years. Using some of the wall art from Graffiti Mile in St. Louis and turning it into fashion. Thank you Azlynn Brookens for helping me figure this out.

I had an amazing time last weekend in New York at the Nanlite USA workshop, hosted by Sal Cincotta & Alissa Cincotta. I learned a ton from everyone who attended and got to play with some really great products! Huge thank you to Sal, Alissa, Brandi, Lauren, Violet, and of course NanLite!

What an experience the eclipse was yesterday. Even though I had to drive several hours away it was completely worth it! The little bit of cloud coverage just added to the event so I had to get at least one image out as soon as possible.

The last leg of our journey included a stop in Waco, TX to visit Magnolia Market - we ate a delicious breakfast at Magnolia Table, walked around the market area, and visited the silos. After Waco, we headed to Dallas to visit family for a few days. During our time there they took us to the best restaurants and sites (thank you so much D, Sarah, Jocelyn, Milana, and Andrew for being such wonderful hosts)! We also got to take a tour of the Cowboys Stadium and walked around the Star (the cowboys practice field). After Dallas, we headed out for the last part of our trip back home.

Overall, this trip was absolutely amazing and truly an eye-opening experience. Our total travel time (airplane, jeep, and truck) was over 169 hours and vehicle mileage over 7400 miles! We're exhausted but can't wait to do it again. Thank you to everyone that followed along with us! Keep an eye out for more photographs that we captured during our journey.

Days 21-24 | After Vegas we headed straight for Zion - we hiked to the Narrows during a light rain (we did not get in the water, as the temps outside were 20 degrees and the water would have been colder 🥶). We got lucky and the clouds opened up a bit for sunset and watching the sun through the park was breathtaking. After that we hit Grand Canyon and hiked a total of 6.5 miles - Mather Point for sunrise, hiking across the South Rim and down into the canyon along South Kaibab Trail, and finished the day watching the sunset at Lipan Point. Last night we stopped in Phoenix to visit Zoe (John's cousin) and this morning we descended into Carlsbad Caverns. It was a perfect 56 degrees and the formations of the limestone stalactites were mesmerizing. Now we are on the road to Waco, TX!

Days 18-20 | Our time in Vegas was full of action - from Burlesque to Cirque du Soleil to zip lining through Fremont Street. We tried to go to every casino on both the strip and Fremont, but honestly there was just SO many! Also, for those wondering - no we didn't win any money... only lost it.

Day 17-18 | After TWO delays in our flight back from Hawaii, we made it back to San Fran at 5 am and decided sleep is for the weak and we headed straight to Sequoia National Park. We made it there by mid-day and as the sun was setting the fog through the tall sequoia trees felt like something out of a storybook. After hiking until we lost light, we drove through the night to Death Valley. We woke up to a rainy day 🌧️ (of course it would rain in the desert the one day we were there) We were disappointed at first, but as we hiked through Mosaic Canyon and Artist's Palette we realized that the rain brought out even more of the jewel tones in the landscape. We were a little drenched after being in the rain all day but enjoyed the sights we could see through the fog. We got to Vegas last night and our view of the strip from our room is perfect! Today we get to start exploring the city.

Day 14-16 | Today is our last day in Hawaii and we are sad to go, but excited about the next part of our journey! The last couple of days we visited Volcanoes National Park, walked on black sand beach, snorkeled with sharks, rode a catamaran to see turtles, dolphins, and whales, and watched fireworks with Alexis and Chandler. This morning we had Aloha Kitchen for breakfast (Arden devoured her souffle pancake like it was her job 😅). We're driving the island with the top of our jeep down a little longer before we have to head to the airport. Up next, Sequoia National Park!
