I try to preserve what I feel when I take the picture through my editing skills. And in this case, I’ve out ny own style and energy into this. “Never joined the herd,
Could not adjust well…”

I’m not a tattoo type of guy, but for the past few years I’d been wanting to get a soaring eagle tattoo 🦅, as it truly symbolizes myself and my attitude towards the society, and the world in general. So all I had to do is decide, contact the artist, and go get it done!

Eagle is a symbol for - freedom, courage, awakening, higher perspective, enlightenment, wisdom, clarity, resilience, independence, loyalty, majesty, power, etc.

I I have never ‘flocked with the pigeons’, and the older I grew the more I realize that I always preferred to be by myself mostly so I can be free, take my time on things with my own company, which means staying in alignment with who I am.

That got even further enhanced when I started the personal development journey. The deeper I explored, the more I was replacing my “bad feathers” 🪶, or ‘molting’, like an eagle does, which is a process where eagles shed their old, bad feathers and let new ones grow to ensure effective flight and survival. Same concept, shedding the old ways, releasing the weights from the past, to ensure a powerful and focused days ahead.

And all of this can’t be done if I’m flocking with pigeons all the time searching for crumbs, which won’t allow an eagle to constantly stay sharp and focused.

An eagle does what an eagle does best, it cannot be forced to live on land its entire life.

I was hugely inspired by the lyrics of the song used in this post - “The Eagle Flies Alone” by Arch Enemy. Super empowering lyrics and it’s forever among the top favorite songs.

“I go my own way,
I swim against the stream.
Forever I’ll fight the powers that be,

Bologna.

Even though we stayed in Bologna for three nights… but we didn’t really experience the city itself, lol. Aside from breakfast at our cozy neighborhood cafe, a few late night strolls to grab a bite, hanging out at a lounge, and our walks to the train station, that was pretty much it.

Because of our limited time and our goal to see as much as possible, we used Bologna’s central location as a base for day trips to Venice and Florence.

Honestly, every Italian city deserves a longer stay, and the same goes for all the small, charming towns we didn’t get to see. Just more reasons to come back to Italy when life says go 🇮🇹🤌🏼

So I pampered myself at the Sky Lagoon last month, type of things I’ll never do on my own in my hometown in 100 years.

The experience is a 6-step ritual. It starts with the warm waters of the Lagoon, followed by a cold dip (which I skipped — not because I’m afraid of the cold, but it was pretty packed). Then comes the sauna that had some incredible views (no pictures because I had to respect the ‘no-phones’ signs. Even if there were no signs, I’d still respect the quiet atmosphere and the privacy of others).

After that, you walk through a cool-mist room (slide 4). It was pretty empty, so I stayed a bit longer to make up for skipping the cold dip.

Next, they give you some salt all apply over your skin (slide 5) and sit in the steam room to let the salt work its magic. Once you rinse off, they serve a shot of berry juice — which was actually pretty good!

After that, you’re free to return to the Lagoon and relax for as long as you like.

A journey worth a lifetime, wrapped in a moment,
as if life has passed by so fast, like it was a dream.

This is one of the very first pictures I took when I had just bought my Canon 70D that I ran into yesterday after thinking I have lost it like many other pictures. It remains one of my favorite pictures. I didn’t know how the camera settings worked exactly so I’m glad it came out clean.

I wish I’d taken a video of this moment too because it was a windy day and this crow was looking all wise & majestic sitting in there lost in its thoughts. Hope he’s well if he’s still around (or she).
