Traveling with my phone and camera 📷 and one day in Oregon came across elopement photos @ natural bridges!⁣

I LOVE ELOPEMENTS SO MUCH, because at the end of the day I’m just a girl who likes to see new places 🌎, bring my camera, and create memories. ⁣

Northern Lights in 🌌💗 ⁣
These obviously deserve their own post + moment. ⁣
⁣
The story of seeing these: ⁣
We ended up seeing the Northern Lights simply because I had posted earlier in the day and tagged the park! ⁣
After our anniversary dinner we were already back at the lodge (I was in my cozies) and Jake was taking a shower.⁣
Well I decided to look at the other stories that tagged Grand Teton NP & 20mins prior a singular person had posted the lights with the text “never thought I’d see the NL here”⁣

Y’all 😂😂😂 when I tell you I ripped open the shower curtain and said “JAKE LOOoooOoooKKK!” ⁣
I was holding my phone in disbelief while getting dressed and getting my camera bag back out 📸 ⁣
⁣
The last video is all of us looking like little storm chasers 🚙 driving into the pitch black park (perfect conditions) 🌟 ⁣
⁣
So much had to go right for these to show up and they will remain one of the most beautiful moments I’ve had. I cried instantly when I caught them in the sky. I truly HOPE everyone can experience that once. It’s hard to explain the sky you’ve know your whole life and its cycles, completely change and dance around you. It’s MAGIC 🪄 🌟 ⁣

To think that we weren’t even going to go to WY means we could’ve totally missed this potential once in a lifetime experience 🥹😭⁣

• The photo with the light exposure going across is a plane! Jackson airport is the only commercial airport in a National Park & I can’t even imagine that being your view out the window! ✈️ ⁣

We were out there for 3 hours while I was trying to be an astrophotographer and get my settings right 😂 and we ended up seeing 5 shooting stars as well. Best anniversary gift ever 💫 ⁣

7 years married to my best friend! 💍 & the trip where the northern lights showed up for us the night of our anniversary!!! 🌌🩷💚⁣

Grand Teton NP blew all the expectations I had out of the water. Our anniversary day alone was filled with small town Jackson vibes, natural mineral hot springs along the river to ourselves, fishing along the Snake River, Teton exploring + animal sightings, and a light show we’ll never forget ✨🏔️⁣

Thank goodness I brought my tripod for these sunrise photos because that was the only way I was able to capture slow shutter images that night 📷⁣
⁣
Jacob, I could cry just thinking of you. I just want to thank you for always being there for me in all ways possible these past 7 years. I can’t imagine not having you as my husband through almost all of my twenties. You’ve allowed me to become a greater version of myself. Never once questioning my dreams or passions. Joining me for adventures or encouraging my solo ones. Always being my sous-chef. Being the best dad to our herbivore zoo. Challenging me. Teaching me how to flip a whole house from the ground up even though I ask you to repeat yourself a million times. Having patience because I’ll admit to being extremely empathetic and wee bit sensitive haha. ⁣

The best part of my days are you & a random Wednesday with you… is better than I ever thought life could be.⁣

🌲 An Olympic National Park elopement in Forks, Washington felt like stepping into another world. Between the misty rainforest, the rugged Washington coast, and the intimacy of a small wedding day—it was the perfect setting for Andrea + Thad, a couple who dreamed of an adventure elopement that was both elevated and deeply connected to nature. 🌊

On their wedding day, the celebration began right in the parking area—six cars pulling up, turning the cul-de-sac into a pre-ceremony party!

All 18 guests + 5 dogs walked the trail together until we reached the perfect spot for their vows.

Their handfasting ceremony was powerful and intentional. Andrea + Thad handed each group or guest a string, which they laid down before being tied together to secure the marriage. Watching every person contribute a piece of their union showed the deep, personal connection this couple shares with each loved one—proof that in an intimate wedding, every guest truly matters ✨

Afterward, we headed to their one-of-a-kind coastal cabin. With surfers catching waves in the background, we ate bbq, played co****le, and enjoyed homemade desserts while lounging in Adirondack chairs overlooking the Pacific.

We made our way to one of Olympic’s iconic beaches for sunset. It was pure joy—sticks and rocks flying with the dogs, Andrea + Thad dancing and twirling, running into the waves, popping champagne, and us all laughing until we couldn’t physically stand 😂

At the end of the night I was pouring out my soaked Salomon hiking boots at my trunk and putting my headlamps away smiling ear to ear.
To be welcomed into a love story and learn details from your early beginnings to capture your wedding day is an unbelievable honor.

An Oregon Coast intimate wedding day @⁣

When Katy + Josh first reached out and described their engagement story of driving their Vintage VW bus through the redwoods, eating lots of gluten, and stargazing… I knew we were going to be best friends! ⁣
⁣
Being lovers of the beach and woods, the Oregon Coast nearby to home was the obvious choice to bring their families together! They wanted slow, intentional, and full of love. ⁣
⁣
Navigating the loss of their ring bearer Hank, their Frenchie, the wedding day arrived with sweet details and my jaw dropped seeing how beautiful Katy was in her dress when I entered the girls suite! ⁣
⁣
Now we all stayed positive, but there was an actual thunderstorm brewing outside! We stayed patient for a bit, but eventually took cover inside for their ceremony. Spoiler: the clouds cleared and the sunset POPPED off during golden hour ✨✨⁣
⁣
I felt so much joyous + tender energy through their community all day and there was not a single moment they were not locked in on one another. ⁣
⁣
Shortly after their wedding day Katy fell ill, but just like on their wedding day when the rain came, they NEVER ever stopped smiling. ⁣
⁣
I’m so proud of them as people and as friends. It’s a reminder to me that documenting life is the greatest job to ever exist. ⁣
⁣

This latest road trip was a reminder of the incredible beauty in exploring and embracing the unexpected—just like elopements+intimate weddings!⁣

From towering mountains with an alpenglow to quiet forests, and the sandy coast, this trip constantly reminded me why I’m so passionate about photography. Capturing what’s in front of my eyes, whether that’s a beautiful couple on their most important day or a soft sunrise. ⁣

First Look @ 10,000ft in the Rocky Mountains 🏔️

Timber + Brysen had the dreamiest intimate wedding day in Colorado, and we were so excited about this first look moment at the summit!

We were waiting for the snow to stop falling and praying the sun would peak through since it was a gloomy morning.

The snow stopped and clouds parted, just in time!
It was like the universe gave them this little moment ☁️

Followed by private vows + Jeep adventure back down the summit!
