When I did the story of Jerry Zamarripa, I knew there was another story within his story. In fact, there’s several layers to this unfortunate situation.

Julian’s story matters just as much as Jerry’s. I intended to add Julian to Jerry’s story, and at the last minute decided to leave him out so I can give him his own video. Otherwise, it seemed like an afterthought which he was not.

Julian Peña was a 57 year-old veteran and family man, who was innocently killed in a mistaken, identity, retaliatory murder.
May he rest in peace.

Follows the story of Benjamin Montoya. The level of heartbreak in this story is tragic. While the suspect was found not guilty, that same person would end up on the news again for a well-known incident at Apodaca Park in 2021.

I went to Hillcrest Cemetery today looking for somebody else and I stumbled across Ben Villa!
I decided I wasn’t leaving until I found everybody else from this incident! (and I updated everybody’s GPS on Find a Grave so nobody has to search that hard again 😂)

Cemetery Snoop Column day!! This is one of my favorite stories.

Victorios Peak, and the story of Doc and Ova Noss and their fight to reclaim the gold and unimaginable treasure that is rumored to still be in the depth of the peak.

Follower suggestion number 20 takes us to the story of Jerry Zamarripa. The high school senior who was tragically murdered at a house party in 2011. This story has been requested several times by several different people. This young man sure was loved by his community. RIP Jerry.

Hi! Quick PSA…

I try not to censor people‘s opinions, i’m even cool with the occasional political debate on my posts as long as folks keep it cool.

…but I won’t tolerate hate towards any deceased individuals or their families
Those types of comments get removed and blocked.

This includes alleged or confirmed gang affiliations….law enforcement …. Or any city employee.

I validate every angry feeling that any of you have towards any of those groups …

….But that is just not what this page is about. It’s about honoring the person who died. It’s about showing their family that the community still remembers their loved one and cares. It’s about bringing awareness to several different causes and sometimes it’s simply about just telling someone’s story. 

So, just be cool 🧘‍♂️☮️

Law-enforcement are people too. Sometimes they stop at fancy hotels on their way home from dropping a prisoner off out of state…. Get too drunk at a pub… start arguing over an old case … and end up dead or in jail. room full of blood hallway, full of bullet holes and shell casings…. And no prison time!

Today is the 23rd anniversary of the murder of Katie Sepich.

Let’s take a moment to appreciate what came out of this horrible tragedy - thanks to her family, with which, in New Mexico, mandates DNA collection upon arrest for certain felonies. A federal version was signed into law in 2013, and it has since helped solve thousands of cold cases nationwide.

RIP Katie Sepich.
