Last night I was thinking about the waves of existence. The ups and down of life. How everything is vibration, patterns, and continuous movement. How stagnation may not actually exist, but could just be the bottom of the wave inching forward preparing for the rise again. I think I’m learning that one of my biggest pieces of shadow work lives somewhere inside those waves. Bracing. I’m becoming more aware of how often I do it. Things will be good…sometimes really fu***ng good, and instead of allowing myself to exist fully inside of that moment, some part of me starts preparing for the next drop. Because I know the waves. I know the high doesn’t last forever. But neither does the low. I think my brain has decided that anticipating the discomfort might make the discomfort easier when it comes. Except all it actually does is ask me to experience it twice. Once in anticipation and once if it actually arrives. The other part of this, is I feel like I’m more comfortable in the discomfort. The lows feel familiar. It’s like my brain has decided that the lows are home. My ego oddly prefers it here. It’s the known space. So now I’m challenging myself to anticipate the light. The ups. The successes. I’m learning to notice when I’m bracing. Not necessarily to convince myself that another drop isn’t coming. Life moves. The wave will move again. That’s the entire point. But I don’t need to stand at the top of every wave staring down at the bottom. I’m allowed to look around while I’m up here. I’m allowed to enjoy it. Not every drop means doom. Sometimes it just might feel like a loss of momentum. But it’s life. Enjoy the ride. The journey is the journey. Let life come to you. What’s meant to be yours will always find its way to you. 🖤

Remember to savor the good moments in your life. So often, we focus on powering through the tough parts. And that’s important, yes. But so is remembering to enjoy each and every little joy and comfort we are gifted. Breathe in peaceful air once in awhile, and just relax into it. It releases so much that you’ve been carrying, and for a little while, you can rest deeply. Internal rest. But savor the good, the beautiful, the positive. Reach back into your gratitude exercises. It starts there. Have a joyful morning.✨

Self-love isn’t thinking you’re beautiful every day. It’s choosing not to bully yourself on the days you don’t. Some days you’ll love what you see in the mirror. Other days, you won’t. Self-love is knowing you don’t have to love your body every single day to treat it with kindness.

You can have a bad body-image day without making your body the enemy. You don’t have to love what you see today. Just don’t be cruel to her.

Have a beautiful weekend🖤

The sweater 😍

The way we end every session. The sisterhood. The marking of your journey in the studio. The stories it holds.

The sweater is waiting to hold your story next. 🖤✨

Sometimes we can get really caught up in things that are going…less than ideal. It can feel like we’re not making it. It can feel overwhelming…and scary. It can make you angry or hurt. It can feel like you’re drowning.

My little saying is “it’s happening FOR me” and sometimes…it’s hard to believe it. Sometimes it’s hard to pull yourself out of your own pity party. Sometimes I think we have to stay in that space for the sake of learning.

Looking back, I wouldn’t change anything that did or didn’t work out for me. I try to hold onto that perspective when I’m “in” it, too. But, we’re human. Try to see the light. Try to be grateful. Try to trust that what is meant for you will be yours. Setbacks aren’t always the enemy. Sometimes it’s about alignment. 🖤

Feel free to share something that seemed like it was a setback that actually changed your trajectory ✨✨

There are moments that we forget who we are. There are seasons we look in the mirror and see a stranger staring back at us. There are eras of our lives that seem to go by much too quickly. But there’s one thing remains, always. We are always seeking ways to come back to ourselves, whether we are aware of it or not. Sometimes it may feel like no matter what you do, it’s not enough. You may struggle to remember the version of you that you used to be. And that’s okay. You don’t need to be who you once were. You can come back and meet yourself and who you are in this moment. Today. How do you meet yourself here? Grace. Gratitude. Authenticity.

I’d like to invite you to evaluate where you are in this moment. Who do you see? What are you giving your energy away to? Reevaluate, straighten your crown, and show up for that beautiful woman staring back at you in the mirror. She has worked too hard to be constantly criticized. Give her some grace. Tell her you’re proud of her. Have gratitude for how far you’ve come against all odds. Be authentic. Stop shying away from who you are. You deserve to be seen. You deserve to be loved. You deserve to be celebrated. Hold your head up, beautiful. This era is ready for you to step into your power.
