Kinetic Lens Photography Kinetic Lens Photography was created when the founder realized that there aren't dance photographers in the area. What about the movers of the world?

Dance is movement which makes it hard to photograph but the founder is a dancer herself and can anticipate the movement to get a great shot! Mission

There is a photographer for all types of celebrations, events, or milestones. I want to capture the beauty of dance in photos. With my knowledge of movement, I am able to capture that amazing moment in a jump or turn that can be difficult to get. Mee

Morgan Rivera is the owner and photographer of Kinetic Lens Photography. I am new to photography and am eager to improve my skills. However, I am not new to dance. I began dancing at the age of 5 in a traditional studio. I was on my high school dance team and continued my dance education into college. I received a BA in Dance from the University of New Mexico. I also have a Master’s in Elementary Education. I am the Creative Director of The Dance Eclectic, a dance collective in Las Cruces.

A couple of weeks ago I went to Chicago for the Pas De Deux Photography Conference. It was amazing and I am still going through photos of the dancers and editing, waiting on approval, then editing again. My hubby joined me on the trip and offered to take photos of me. He felt bad that as a dancer, I wasn't getting any photos taken of me. So here are some of the photos we took early on our last day there!

It has been a while since I've had time to post. I have been super busy with my own dancing. I have had some fun taking photos though. Here's some of the photos from the fall. My dance company went to White Sands to play. We also performed in a show the weekend before Thanksgiving. I'm finally getting to posting these. I hope everyone has a Happy New Year! It's been a while since I have posted anything. We went to Slot Canyon in the fall and took some fun and amazing photos. Thank you to the dancers of The Dance Eclectic and The Dance Eclectic Studio for joining me. Slot Canyon is beautiful and only about 30 minutes north of Las Cruces.

October means leaves and Halloween. Well the leaves haven't changed here in Las Cruces, but we have some beautiful orchards that are prime for dance photos. We also decided to get a little spooky too! I even decided to get in front of the camera and try out my timer. Thank you to the ladies of The Dance Eclectic for letting me take photos of them!
