The poppies always have a special place in my heart because they remind me of the one who made me mama. While pregnant with Rowan, I went to the poppy fields and took a very slow stroll. The next day she was born. Although I’m incredibly grateful to live in a place that occasionally gifts us poppies, nothing quite beats the bloom of the California poppy fields. (See last photos)

Happy 6th birthday, special girl. We are so proud of you.
