There’s no way these two girls know how impactful this image is for me. On the left Janci sits on the horse that carried me through jr. high, high school, and college rodeo. This is his sixth Montana high school state finals and seventh short round run. That’s three events and three different girls all in the short round across eight years.

Next to her, Piper sits on Ace. The first time I rode Ace was less then ten minutes before making a run on him at a Grand Canyon Region college rodeo. His previous owner, KENNEDY COOK , was so gracious to let me jump on him when Boots came up lame after the breakaway. I only made two runs with this horse but he took such good care of me.

To see these two horses healthy and still competitive fills my heart.

If you haven’t made time for the Lord today, here’s your reminder. Read Psalms chapter 23 or just take a moment to say a quick prayer. It doesn’t have to be long, it definitely doesn’t have to be perfect. Just thank God for this little moment to slow down, relax your shoulders, and take a deep breath before getting back to the busyness of life.

Trust me you’ll feel better.
