SUNDOWN: ONE LAST TIME
Tomorrow, June 3, the U.S. Marine Corps AV-8B Harrier will make its final flight at MCAS Cherry Point, marking the end of an era for one of the most iconic aircraft in Marine Corps aviation history. For decades, the Harrier has supported critical operations around the world with its unique vertical/short takeoff and landing capabilities.
I feel fortunate to have seen it fly at EAA AirVenture 2025, which was among its final public appearances. Watching the Harrier in action was a memorable experience and a reminder of the remarkable legacy this aircraft leaves behind.
