I hold a bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and, since 1986, I have built my career as a professional photojournalist, specializing in events, candid moments, and casual portraiture. Trained and seasoned through years at The Associated Press in Mexico and the U.S., I have captured

both the profound and the everyday, from serving in a photography leadership role at El Sol de Tampico newspaper, where I documented human tragedy and powerful moments, to having served as the official photographer for the City of Laredo. Alongside this photojournalistic journey, I have shared that experience with friends and clients, bringing the same depth, artistry, and storytelling spirit to celebrate life’s milestones, from the love and elegance of weddings to the beauty and tradition of quinceañeras, and with that same sensitivity, the casual glamour of portraiture.

A few days ago, I had the privilege and honor of meeting Reverend Father Fray José de Jesús Orozco Mosqueda, pastor of the Sanctuary and Convent of Santo Desierto in Tenancingo, State of Mexico.

Thanks to his generosity, I was granted special access to tour the ancient convent, a sacred place that remains alive with novitiates, spiritual retreats, and a parish that opens its doors to all hearts of faith.
