My mother passed away this week after a long struggle with dementia. It’s a cruel and wrenching disease. Mitzi Covitz Rafkin Freedman was a woman of great enthusiasms with a deep capacity for love and care. She will be missed by her 4 children and their spouses, her 10 grandchildren and their spouses, 3 great grandchildren and friends and family near and far. That is her legacy.
