Over the summer I’ve been quietly working on something special. Something softer and sweeter and a little slower. I’ve had the privilege of getting to see so many souls through so many beautiful milestones. From seniors to engagements to weddings and now families. Every year I only have space to see a few families and I have reserved those spots for returning clients. Every year I tell myself there will be more time next year….well, this year, for the first time ever, during peak fall foliage, I am hosting mini sessions!!

These are perfect for families, for upcoming grads, for couples that don’t want a whole session but still want to document this phase of life.

Bring your kids, bring your dog, bring your best friend.

Several years back I second shot a wedding for a very seasoned photographer. This photographer requested that I put my camera in Monochrome (black and white) for the entire day. This was something I had never done before and I will never forget how this allowed me to stop focusing on color and distractions and utilize only texture and contrast to compose my photos.

When I am feeling uninspired or craving some grounding in my art, especially this time of year when I settle into the season of rest and reflection, Quietly observing the simplicity of light and shadow moving through my home and wrapping around the people I love will always breathe warmth back to my soul and life back into my work
