There's something magical about beach photographs.

Jake + Mikayla are so easy to capture. They so evidently show each other love in such a way that is so gracious, loyal, extremely caring, patient, respectful, empowering, forgiving, full of Christ.. it is inspiring!

I got the privilege of photographing my grandparents labor day weekend and let me tell you, I teared up while editing these images.

I couldn't help but think about the influence these two have made on my life.

Their love has been a true testament over the years of what true, genuine love looks like. It does not wither over time, it stands the true test of time. It is strong and enduring, even and especially in times of hardship. It is faithful to forgive and let go, because love does not hold onto fleeting things. It is able to laugh and joke throughout life together and share in genuine happiness. It is patient and kind. It is keeping Christ at the center of it all.

Yesterday marked a month out from her due date.

We could not be more blessed with all the love and support we’ve got surrounding us. We are so so grateful. God has provided for us in ways we could’ve never imagined.

The excitement and anticipation for getting to hold her in our arms is getting more real by the day. I am so thankful that God has given me the privilege to mother this little girl. 🤍
