As I wrap up another season I have to get something off my chest. I hope everyone can see this post comes from a place of truly just wanting to provide the best service that I can and not from a place of negativity. The policies I have in place are only there so I can provide FAIR and CONSISTENT service to all of my clients. I promise I am not trying to make things hard on anyone and it keeps me up at night when I think someone could possibly be upset.

I understand things happen that are out of our control. Cancellations from sickness or emergencies are things I deal with too and I like to think of myself as an understanding person. This is why I allow you to use your deposit towards future sessions, something that is not industry standard. This year I had a massive amount of last minute cancellations because people simply forgot they booked and made other plans or who straight up just didn’t come to their session and never answered any of my follow up messages or emails. Losing out on just one $250 session a month is our grocery bill, phone bill, etc. Now times that by 3 or 4 and it turns into a mortgage payment. I hope in the coming years when sessions are scheduled it is treated the same as a doctor’s appointment, vacation you have planned, and so on. If you are unable to make it, I just ask that you communicate with me.

Secondly, the pricing I have in place is so each client is treated fairly. I have had a lot of push back and uncomfortable conversations this year regarding this topic. I just want everyone to know I am strict on this because I would never want one of my clients to feel they were scammed or taken advantage of for paying full price while others received discounts or special treatment. On occasion, I will ask for models to help with projects so I will offer a discount but if you book a regular session through my website, please read the description fully and reach out first with any questions on what the package includes.

Lastly, thank you to all of my clients who value my business. You are the reason I keep going when the unpleasant interactions start to take a toll on me.
