Zoom out. This is what love looks like from above. 🌿

Every single person in this photo came to witness Seqoia and Marcellus say "I do" under those red Japanese maples. That alone is worth pausing to take in.

But here's a tip I give every bride walking down the aisle:

SLOW DOWN

I know the instinct is to keep moving. You're nervous. The music is playing. Everyone is looking at you. But the walk down the aisle is one of the most photographed moments of your entire day — and if you rush it, you rush the shots.

Slow your steps. Take a breath. Look at your groom. Let your dad squeeze your hand. Let me do my job.

The photos that make people cry? They happen in the pauses.

Your brand should tell a story before you even say a word.

Here’s the thing about branding photography that most people get wrong: your photos shouldn’t just show what you look like. That’s a headshot. They should show what you believe in, what you’ve built, and who you’re talking to.

If you’re an author, bring the book. If you’re a coach, bring what you coach with. If you’re a creative, bring your work. A prop that reflects your purpose transforms a headshot into a story.

Been falling in love with the Rode NTG3 lately. The little mics still have their place; I reach for them all the time depending on the shoot, but there's something about the way the NTG3 grabs a voice that just hits different.

This was me in the office messing around, learning the workflow. Running the NTG3 into the Zoom F3 for that clean 32-bit float, and figuring out what this setup can really do.

Still early in it, but I'm impressed. Might put together a full review once I've run it through a few more shoots and really know it.
