After a lifetime of knowing one another, this rekindling friendship took a new turn. Acknowledging that there may be more than friendship, they both leaned in to their love for one another and appropriately themed their wedding ā€œat last.ā€

Arlene & Eileen (yes, really) proudly walked down the aisle to singing the famous song acapella and celebrated their love with matching engraved wedding bands.

And yeahā€¦ it was one of the best day of my career šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

Mother Earth is kinda my favoriteā€¦ so I used today as my excuse to dig through 8 years of my favorite backpacking, hiking, and travel adventures starting with my very first trip back in 2018.

Traveling fuels my mind and body in a way that truly nothing else can. It makes me feel really small. I love the new experiences it brings, figuring things out on the fly when they donā€™t go our way, and challenging myself to face my fears. But backpacking is extra special to meā€¦ itā€™s an important ingredient of my wife and my relationshipā€”always teaching us how to work together as a team (& we are one badass team). Weā€™ve had some of the most beautiful wildlife interactions together that Iā€™ll treasure forever, along with sunrises that honestly felt unreal. Every trip has taught me something new and made me who I am today. And maybe most importantly, through all of it, Iā€™ve only broken one camera after a very dramatic tumble down a switchback (which feels pretty impressive).

Iā€™m thankful every day for this beautiful playground we get to call our home šŸŒŽšŸ„¾

Special shout outs to:
for our so so special elopement AND taking us to Iceland!!!!
& for the coolest and most educational 48 hours out of the country ever
for coming along with me for my first ever big adventure

A new season & a new chapteršŸ¦‹ā˜€ļø

On the first day of spring, Christin and I created a photographic love letter to honor her past, present, and future self. Through movement, sound, and meaningful keepsakes, we spent sunrise capturing the celebration of self.

Christin is truly a very special woman and if youā€™re ever lucky enough to hear her speak (or sing), you feel it instantly.
