Any free time we had this summer was spent at the pool. ☀️

My little fish have spent as much time in the water as humanly possible this summer, and honestly? It’s been one of my favorite parts.

Wet hair. Pruney fingers. “Watch this!” approximately 847 times. Snacks that somehow taste 10x better when you eat them wrapped in a towel by the pool.

Just watching them become more confident in the water, try new things, play until they’re exhausted, and live their very best little summer lives.

And with two Pisces parents… I’m not exactly sure we ever stood a chance of raising kids who didn’t want to live in the water. 😂 Thank goodness!

These are the summer days I know I’m going to miss.

Nothing huge. Nothing fancy.

Just sunshine, water, and my favorite little fish. 💛

Actually, I’d prefer you bring me the chaos. 😂

Bring me the kid who suddenly forgets how to smile when a camera appears.

Back-to-school season is officially doing that weird staggered thing where some kids are already back and others are still on break.

But seeing all those first-day photos pop up has me feeling a little emotional.

Because somehow the backpacks get bigger, the first-day signs get another grade added to them, and the little faces standing on the front porch look just a tiny bit older than they did last year.

Rude, honestly.

So whether you’ve already survived the first day, you’re prepping, or you’ve still got a little summer left like us—take the picture.

Even if someone’s grumpy.
Even if you’re running late.
Even if the outfit you carefully picked out gets changed at the last second.

Someday, you’re going to look back and realize just how little they were.

Long Live Summer!

Backyard games, trampolines, sparklers, s'mores, tree climbing. Who could ask for more on a Tuesday night?

I'm forever grateful to all the people who have invited me into their lives as the memory keeper.

I made a conscious decision to be more present during our family vacation, but I also couldn’t let the whole week go by without taking photos.

So I took the picture and moved on with the fun. No worrying about perfect smiles or perfect backgrounds. Just quick little snapshots of what our week actually looked like.

And I already love them for that. The funny faces, the imperfect moments, the little details that remind me of flipping through old family photo albums.

We had the best time with Grandma and Pop, and I hope these are photos we’ll look back on for years to come. The kids are already asking when we can go back. ❤️

Two energetic little boys. One very full heart. 🌿

There is something so special about watching kids explore the world on their own terms.

Picking flowers (off the ground), peeking around corners, collecting treasures, and finding wonder in the smallest things.

Those are the moments I hope parents remember years from now—not just what their kids looked like, but who they were.

Childhood is meant to be explored. I'm just lucky enough to document it. 💛
