Watch in slow motion as Coulson Aviation - Next Gen Firefighting CH-47D Chinook N42CU pulls water from the ponds at Apollo Community Regional Park in Lancaster, California, then lifts off toward the nearby . These 3,000-gallon helitankers can fill up in about 90 seconds before delivering a precise drop on the fire line. Glad to have them so close!

NASA F-18B Legacy Hornet (N846NA) Afterburner Low Flyover – AV ALTA Soccer Game

We caught NASA’s F-18B Legacy Hornet N846NA thundering over the AV ALTA soccer field Saturday night with afterburners lit!

The NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center jet ripped over the game low and loud under Saturday night lights at sunset. One of those great Aerospace Valley moments. Hope you enjoy the pass as much as we did.

Some of our favorite Air Force Thunderbirds F-16 Fighting Falcon photos from over the years. The USAF Thunderbirds shows are always a lot of fun to watch, especially the sneak pass. These were taken at Mojave Air & Space Port, Edwards AFB, NAF El Centro, Nellis AFB, March ARB, and at Pacific Airshow.

These close flybys showcase the precision, power, and speed of the Thunderbirds demonstration team. Another video of the F-22 Raptor as it powers into the sky before descending and releasing flares over Huntington Beach at the 2023 Pacific Airshow.

The F-22 Demo Team put on an incredible display! This was one of the signature moments of the airshow as flares lit up the backlit sky!

Awhile back caught this massive Qantas A380 screaming low overhead on final into Los Angeles International Airport. Impressive to see such a massive aircraft so low and so close.

I’ve always loved the Air Force Thunderbirds. My dad used to take me to see them whenever they performed close to us. To me the Thunderbirds will always put on an incredible show with their F-16 Fighting Falcons! In past years we had the incredible opportunity to watch them practice at Edwards Air Force Base. High-speed passes, tight formation work, and precision maneuvers characterize their performance as captured from the ground.

The Thunderbirds continue to represent the skill, professionalism, and excellence of the U.S. Air Force. Always an honor to photograph these jets in action at one of the most historic flight test centers in the world.

F-22 Raptor

There’s nothing quite like the F-22 Raptor. Whether it’s thundering down the runway at Aerospace Valley Airshow in 2022, slicing through the dark skies at the Pacific Airshow, or screaming past the crowd at Aviation Nation, the F-22 always stops people in their tracks. Even today, the way it maneuvers feels like science fiction. We’ve been lucky enough to photograph the F-22 Raptor at several airshow and it never disappoints. I hope you enjoy some of my favorite F-22 photos.
