I finally got time to finish the first of four Hogwarts house plaques that I’m making. I love the way this came out. It will be available at craft show tomorrow at Chatfield high school. their craft fair runs from 9 to 5. The address is 7227 South Simms St. in Littleton.

I’m at Sonflower Farm today with my crafts. They have goat yoga, farm animals, a photo booth hotdog stand bouncy house for the kids all sorts of things going on. If you’re out north and you want something to do. This is going on today and tomorrow till until 4 PM tomorrow it starts at 9 AM so schedule accordingly.

This is the second-place song: Edge of Seventeen by Stevie Nicks.
We had 1 rehearsal. My hand cramped up some on this song. I'd been practicing it a lot. 5 & a half minutes of constant eight notes took a toll on my old hands.

I've been talking about FLASHJAM for a few weeks. I've done 2 so far and will be doing my 3rd on Sept. 8 at Wide Open Saloon.
The last one I did was a BLUES based one. They always get video from every song but it takes time to get them all up. I was waiting for this one because I got to trade off with Michael Suydam.

So this Wednesday, July 17, I am doing something I have never done musically. Which is surprising since I've been doing music for a very long time.
About a year ago something called FLASHJAM was formed by a local gentleman. It sounded intriguing so I registered. But I never participated until now.
Unlike an open mic or blues jam, you are given a list of songs ina specific genre, like classic rock, headbanger, or blues, then you look through and see if any interest you. If you find ones you like you register to play/sing on them. You then work out your parts, maybe put together a rehearsal with the others signed up, then take the stage.
I had never met any of the people I am performing with on Wednesday until this week when I rehearsed a couple of songs with a few of the players. It's going to be fun and hopefully, there will be no train wrecks.

Playing in a band may be too much of a commitment, and playing by yourself has gotten boring and stale. It's hard to meet other musicians that like the music you like. Coordinating schedules and locations is a hassle.
