I had my last client session today and I'm so happy it was a fresh 48 for this family ❤️. ⠀

I've been so lucky to have been connected with such amazing people over the last few years and absolutely love watching their families grow. Today's session reminded me of what I will miss the most about this job... I not only get to capture these most important moments, but I also get to be there, in the moment, and experience first hand, the joy that these babies bring to people's lives. ⠀

School started back today and it finally feels like the start of a new year. Happy 2020, everyone!!!

With the new year feeling official, I do have a little announcement I wanted to share about what is to come for Ashley Sasak Photography this year. After a lot of thought, I've come to the difficult decision that I will not be taking on any client work in 2020. I'm not quite ready to say that I will be leaving this little business of mine behind for good, but I am ready to press the pause button for now.

When Theo joined our family, I felt a strong pull to be at my computer less. And I have tried many different ways this past year to make it work. Scheduling work around his naps, editing after bedtime, putting social media posts and blogging on the back burner... I even attempted to completely outsource my editing. But, the bottom line is, there is just not enough time in the day for me to take care of both my family and my clients in a way that feels good for me right now.

I want to send out a big THANK YOU to everyone for all of your support. I'm so grateful for all the amazing people I've had a chance to work with and have gotten to know. It makes you all feel like more like friends and not clients (which makes this even harder!). If you're a previous client and were hoping to have a session this year, please shoot me an email [email protected] and I will be happy to provide you with the names of some other EXTREMELY talented photographers that I know you will love working with.

I have my last client sessions this month (a maternity and fresh 48!), so be on the lookout for a couple photo shares from those... otherwise, I hope you have a great 2020 and I will share about further plans for next year once I know them.

This past weekend was a whirlwind... Friday, my son fell off the monkey bars and broke his arm. Saturday, I had an in home session with my cousin Meg and her family (aren't they cute?!), and then early Sunday morning, I became an Aunt for the first time! My brother had a beautiful baby girl, Gianna, that I'm so excited to spoil!!!! So, if you've been waiting for an email from me, I apologize for the delay and today, I'm finally catching up on my inbox! ⁠⠀
