Hopefully this will be the first of several short videos of the female hummingbird feeder her two chicks.. I suspect they are just days away from taking their first flight. They test their wings after most feedings.

Hummingbird nest which, I think, has chicks. Time will tell.

I was able to spend some time with a few white tailed ptarmigan. This one was comfortable enough with me to take a short nap until someone walked up the trail. Also nice to be able to show other folks who come by these beautiful birds and reinforce why dogs should be kept on lease even when above tree line.
