While I had my softboxes and stuff set up, I figured I'd go ahead and do some shots of my son, Scott. He was a good sport!

These are all pretty much SOOC (Straight Out of Camera), so no editing other than a little sharpening.

Zion National Park - Watchman at Sunset

I was only able to spend one evening at Zion National Park as I had just arrived just before dusk. The clouds were a little lackluster, but nonetheless a beautiful evening! I will be going back!!

The Wishall's have been our next door neighbors for several years now, and we just love them! They are some of the BEST people!! (After all, they put up with their crazy neighbors!) Second portrait session of the day...I was already pretty tired...but we had so much fun, and they made it REALLY EASY!!

Thanks for the opportunity Garrett and Laura Wishall!

This is my other favorite new niece, although she's not quite as new as Little Lucy. Sadie is about a month older, and she was such a good little baby to photograph! She had no problem looking at the camera (even when I didn't want her to) that's for sure!

This session was done a few hours after we did Lucy's, so I had the chance to learn a few things after my very first EVER newborn shoot! Once again, it was far from an ideal setup. I had to bounce a speedlight off of a sheet of 8.5x11 white paper, but as you can see it worked pretty well at softening the light from the flash, and you wouldn't guess it by looking at the catch light in her eyes.

Thanks to Bryan Muir for holding my flash and "reflector" (letter-sized paper), and Alicia Anderson Muir for the fun opportunity!!

I love this little girl, she is my newest little niece, and my first ever newborn session, so don't judge! ;) No, actually this was done rather impromptu and all I had was a single speedlight and no decent surfaces to bounce it off of, so we used a single sheet of 8.5x11 paper to bounce the flash off and soften the light a bit.

Thank you, Shelley Bowman for holding the flash and paper, and Heather Anderson Bird for providing such a sweet little babe!

I just had the privilege earlier today to do this shoot with the wonderful Triplett family. The conditions were pretty much perfect with the recent snow we received! These are just some quick edits, more to come!
