Another day, another show!

Due to technical issues, this one took a while to post! Cradle of Filth at the Roxian!

Cradle of Filth put on a show that only Cradle could! I had never seen Suffocation or Ghostbath before, both of them earned a spot in my playlist!

As many know, my friends in Cultus Black opening this show really made the evening for me! Seeing the work they have done to keep growing their base and recognition!

All these bands went out and gave us all they had!

Sometimes it's important to stop for a moment and appreciate the wins.

Today I got word that I have been approved to cover Les Claypool and Primus tomorrow night at Jacobs Pavilion in Cleveland.

If you had told me years ago that a guy carrying a camera around local venues, learning through trial and error, would one day be covering artists and bands that he grew up listening to, I probably would have laughed and asked what kind of lens I was using in that dream.

Photography has taken me places I never expected. It has introduced me to incredible musicians, amazing fans, lifelong friends, and opportunities that still surprise me.

This one feels special.

To everyone who has supported my work, shared a photo, read an interview, hired me, trusted me with access, or simply encouraged me when I was doubting myself, thank you. You have all played a part in helping me get here.

Tomorrow night I'll be doing what I love most: standing in front of a stage with a camera in my hand, documenting a moment that will never happen exactly the same way again.

This is where I always ask people to say hello if they see me at a show... today, I am gonna change it up and say that if you find me, say hello and I will give you one of my new stickers!

The last few shows I have covered, I saw my camera doing things that a camera should not be doing! In manual mode, I was seeing the shutter speed jump from as low as 60 to 1250, and everything randomly in between. Every frame was different shutter speed, which in turn was destroying my focus.

Someone told me about a website that you can go to, and upload a RAW file and it will tell you your snap count... I thought, why not!?! I did that last night with the very last shot of the show I covered on Friday where it was REALLY messing up!

As of now, I am at 512,581 snaps with that body. By my math, that is about 256.2855% of the expected life of that body.

I am saddened that this is the situation, but allegedly, this should be able to be repaired for a fraction of the cost of replacing the body all together.

Not this Saturday, but next! June 6th, it is going to be an all day event! Music, food, and hopefully some good weather! The Vortex is hosting the North East Death Fest! The Convalescence will be there among may other hard hitting, face melting maniacs! Who is coming out to see the show?

You know by now, if you're there, find me and say HELL-O! 🀘🀣🀘

Suffocation

I thought I posted some of these from the Suffocation set at the Roxian... I am still trying to process the bassist! That size of that thing and the way he postured himself to play with such ferocity! It was mind blowing! 🀘🀯🀘

I am absolutely delighted to share this link! This is the video of the interview I did with Nox of Torchia!

It has been a chaotic couple of weeks, and Torchia is currently touring, and so that bought me some time to finish this video!

I invite everyone to give it a watch and let me know what you think!

This may be news to some, if not many... I hope to make "Geek Out with Drew" more of a primary focus in the coming months. The passion I have for photography and tech, it seems fitting to push towards this endeavor!

This will allow creativity to meet tech, and I could not be happier!

Thank you, everyone for the continued support! 🀘😁🀘

Tonight on Geek Out with Drew, I sit down with Nox of Finnish metal...

Lords of Acid stopped by the Mercury Music Lounge last week for another show! They put on yet another iconic performance for the masses.

I was pretty excited to be asked to cover this show by their PR, but a little saddened when I was forced to leave after the 1st 3x songs.

Oh well, I got what I could while I was able.
