📸🧵 A little piece of me you may not know about…

Most of you here know me as the woman behind the camera at Felicia Marie Photography. Photography has been such a huge part of my life, but there’s another creative side of me that has been part of my story for MANY years…

I’m also a seamstress. ❤️

And when I actually stop and think about some of the projects I’ve been fortunate enough to have a hand in over the years, it’s pretty incredible.

I’ve had the opportunity to work on CU jerseys and cheer uniforms, jerseys for The Rock and Lil Wayne when they made appearances at CU games, pieces for the USA Olympic Basketball Team, Denver Broncos Cheerleaders’ vests, and Colorado Avalanche jerseys.

And now I get to add this one to the list. 🥹🐴🏈

The NEW saddle for Thunder! 🧡💙

I recently shared that I had been given the opportunity to have a part in creating it, and now IT’S COMPLETE!

This beautiful saddle will make its debut at the Broncos game on September 20th, and knowing that something I helped work on will be out there on that field is such a surreal feeling.

Whether I’m behind a camera creating photographs or behind a sewing machine helping create something that will eventually be seen by thousands of people, creating has always been a part of who I am.

Sometimes I get so caught up in what I’m working toward next that I forget to stop and appreciate everything these hands have already been able to create.

So today, I’m giving myself that moment. ❤️

✨ A HEARTFELT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR 2027 ✨

When I first began photography, newborns were the reason I wanted to step behind the camera. There was something so meaningful about preserving those tiny details and the beginning of a family’s newest chapter.

Over the years, my business has taken me in many different directions, and I’m incredibly thankful for every person and every memory I’ve been trusted to capture. But lately, I’ve felt my heart pulling me back toward the reason I started.

Newborns have always held a special place in my heart, and working with children genuinely makes me happy. I’ve realized that I want to stop being afraid to push toward the work I truly love.

As Felicia Marie Photography moves into 2027, my studio will begin focusing more intentionally on:

🤍 Maternity
🤍 Newborns
🤍 Families with their newborns
🤍 Childhood milestones
🤍 Simple, luxury cake smashes

Cake smashes aren’t going away, but they are evolving. I’ll be moving away from heavily themed setups and creating more timeless experiences with monochromatic designs, elegant balloon arrangements and simple details that allow your little one to remain the focus.

I’m also thoughtfully building a client closet filled with maternity gowns and fabrics, newborn wraps and outfits, and carefully selected clothing for children. Clients will have complimentary access to the available collection as part of their session experience.

And my seniors I’m not leaving you behind! Senior portraits will continue to be part of my journey because I truly love capturing the personalities and excitement of that season, too.

As part of this transition, I will no longer be offering wedding photography as a primary photographer. However, weddings will always hold a special place in my heart, so I’ll continue supporting fellow photographers as a second shooter. This will allow me to remain part of those beautiful wedding days while giving my own business the focus it needs.

This change feels personal. It feels like returning to the reason I started while finally giving myself permission to build a business around the work that fills my heart.

I’m so excited for this next chapter and for all the little lives, growing families and unforgettable milestones I’ll have the honor of capturing. 🤍
