Morgan and Jason were married on a beautiful May day in Minnesota at The Chart House in Lakeville, Minnesota. They were surrounded by friends and family as they spoke their vows in a ceremony officiated by the bride’s father. Their nautical-themed wedding, organized in large part by the bride’s mother, was brimming with beautiful and elegant nautical details. It was an honor and pleasure to be a part of this couple’s special day along with all of the other local, Lakeville vendors.

Erin and Matt met in 2013 at a marching band competition when they were teaching in competing bands. A few weeks later they got acquainted at a party where they learned they had a whole lot in common. The two shared the same college major, job title, and band hobby.

Erin found Matt interesting, kind and loved that they had some much in common. Matt thought Erin was passionate and open. They began dating. After about five years of sharing many important life moments together, Matt decided to propose. He first asked Erin’s aunt and uncle for their blessing. Later the same day, Matt and Erin took a hike at one of their favorite spots, Lebanon Hills in Eagan. As the sun began to set, Matt got down on one knee and asked Erin to marry him. Erin waited a beat, a loon called in the distance, and she said, “Yes!”

After rescheduling their wedding due to the COVID-19 pandemic and gathering restrictions, Matt and Erin were finally able to get married at the beginning of September 2021 in the beautiful Waiting Room of the downtown St. Paul Union Depot.

It was a beautiful affair complete with friends, family, gorgeous decor and a whole lot of laughter and joy.

It was an honor for us to be a part of your special day, Erin and Matt, and we with you a lifetime of love and happiness together!

What sort of session locations would make you super excited this year?

These photos are some of my past clients in some of my favorite locations!

Nature Pros/Cons: Lots of beautiful colors (sometimes) we can't always predict when the leaves will pop and still be on the trees. Weather can limit posing options more for nature shots given the mud/dirt/damp leaves.

Urban Pros/Cons: Less weather dependent. A little morning rain can saturate stone and make textures more interesting, assuming weater clears prior to the session. The image we capture are a little less seasonal in feeling. Buildings offer lots of backgrounds and more shade cover to help diffuse light. The more neutral setting can allow for a wider variety of options for clothing colors and combinations that will allow your family to stand out from the backgrounds.
