Been urban camping around Portland town. Most recently Overlook Park in North Portland. Nice view of the river, the bridges, and where I work....on the OTHER side of the river.
People have been pretty great, even gave us barbequed chicken, a beer, and five or six dollars.
Guess I've been looking pretty pathetic.

Portland, Oregon is a fantastic city. Problem is...people found out. Now the rent is skyrocketed to nearly that of San Francisco and the landlords are getting it. Thus, the "homeless" population has soared
And the city has no idea of what to do about it. Hey, it's not bad in SUMMER, but winter IS approaching, dammit. So....here comes the revolution, Bernnie.

Now that summer has hit the Pacific Northwest, there is no better time to be homeless in Portlandia. Except, that there are now more than 1000 new  “homeless” persons urban camping in this most weird and wonderful city.

Thanksgiving coming around once again, and it's time to stop bitching about things that life throw's at me and be thankful for what I do have. Though there's not a lot left, somehow it's enough. The less I've got the less I have to contend with. Why then is my life so frickin complicated?!
