She walked in not knowing what to wear. She left looking like this. 🔥
This is one of my most requested backdrops right now — that warm terracotta texture with the rich wood floor just does something magical for warm skin tones. I paired it with this gold silk flying gown and let the fabric do what it does. The autumn botanicals in the corner tie the whole color story together.
The flying gown shots are always a moment in the studio. There's something about watching the fabric catch the air that makes every mama feel like the most powerful version of herself.

Everyone who matters. All in one frame. 🤍
Mom, dad, big sister, the new baby — and yes, the dog absolutely counts as family. I set this up on my canopy bed with dried pampas, white florals, and soft flowing drapes to give it that warm, airy boho feel. The neutral tones in the set let their outfits and their connection be the focal point.
What I love most about this shot is big sister reaching out toward the baby. I didn't direct that. I just waited for it. Those are always the moments worth capturing.

The details that disappear the fastest. 🤍
Those toes. That perfect little foot tucked into dad's hands. I always make sure to capture these detail shots during a session because this is the stuff that gets you ten years from now. The size comparison alone will take your breath away when your child is grown.
I pulled in tight and let the soft focus do the rest — baby sleeping peacefully in the background while everything that matters fills the frame.

Three generations in one frame. 🤍
This is one of my favorite things to create during a newborn session — the moment grandpa meets his grandchild for the first time, captured forever. I kept the backdrop simple and clean so nothing competes with what's happening between these three. The soft teal of her sweater, the cream wrap, the natural light from the side — everything works together to let the love be the loudest thing in the image.
He couldn't stop smiling. She couldn't stop glowing. And that baby slept through the whole thing like he knew exactly where he was.
This is why I include grandparents in my newborn sessions. These moments matter too.
