Placid Times Photography LLC The mission of Placid Times Photography is to share my skills, time and talent as a photographer, in order to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

My life has not only been blessed with a loving and supportive family, but also with a successful 27 year career as a Financial Executive. Through a series of life changing events, I was afforded the opportunity to start a second career as a professional free-lance photographer. Throughout this amazing life journey, I have never lost sight of the many blessings bestowed upon me, nor the guided pla

ns that the Lord has helped me put in motion. Supportive individuals, strategic timing and various opportunities were all placed in my path along the way. God has provided me with this unwavering passion of photography for a purpose. It is my strong belief that I am supposed to use my gifts and talents to assist others. How we accomplish this objective:
1. Half of all proceeds from portrait sessions, commercial assignments and image sales are distributed to select not-for-profits “NFP” who have as their mission to make a difference in the lives of others. The remaining proceeds are used to cover the operating costs of Placid Times Photography.
2. Provide services to reputable not-for-profit organizations that meet certain requirements established by Placid Times Photography. These services include but are not limited to; journalistic style images to be used by the NFP in fundraising and /or awareness campaigns, head shots of employees, directors and volunteers, and event photography.
3. Donate portrait sessions that can be used as a fundraising event by the NFP. These sessions can include family portrait sessions, team and individual participant photos. Generally, 75% of the net proceeds will be distributed to the organization and 25% will go to other select charities.
4. Provide access to all landscape and sports images on the Placid Times website, for fundraising purposes. Generally, 75% of the net proceeds will be distributed to the NFP and 25% will go to other select charities.
5. Periodically, offering free one day photography workshops to NFP organizations and their volunteers

Wasting no time in getting my ADK Fix. Yesterday we arrived mid-morning and I headed out to a familiar Pond to do a little Loon Photography. While the mid-day light was a little harsh, it was still enjoyable. This morning started with a 34 mile trail ride.

Yesterday was my first time paddling with the new shoulder. I purposely left my camera behind, so I could see how the shoulder would react, but after 30 minutes of paddling and watching the Egrets fish along the harbors shoreline, the photographer in me took over. I quickly returned to shore and retrieved my camera.

This Cygnet, the first to hatch, is less than 24 hours old and is patiently awaiting the arrival of its siblings. If you look closely at the egg you will see signs of it starting to crack.
