๐ Thermal Roof Inspection Findings
Using our DJI Matrice 4T thermal drone, we recently conducted an aerial thermal assessment of a residential roof to identify potential areas of concern that may indicate moisture intrusion or roofing deficiencies.
๐ธ Findings:
โข No obvious signs of active roof leaks were identified from the thermal imagery.
โข The roof surface appeared generally uniform, with no visible evidence of missing shingles, major deterioration, or structural sagging.
โข Several vertical thermal patterns were observed extending down the wall below the roof transition. These patterns appear consistent with heat transfer through structural framing members rather than a localized roof leak.
โข Overgrown foliage was observed over the rear of the house, with signs of delayed water evaporation due to the trees blocking natural sunlight. The client was advised that trimming may be necessary to prevent potential damage to the shingles and to aid in appropriate watershed and evaporation.

Assessment:
Based on the thermal and visual imagery collected, the risk of an active roof leak appears to be LOW to MODERATE, with no clear indicators of ongoing moisture intrusion visible during this inspection.
Thermal drone inspections provide a safe, efficient way to evaluate roofing systems, identify potential problem areas, and help property owners make informed maintenance decisions before small issues become costly repairs.
