In truth, I have been directionally challenged with my "other life" that photography hasn't been a priority. When I feel stretched, I don't reach for my creative processes, rather the easy fixes. Like, chocolate or Netflix. Anyone relate?

However, my son asked me to go hiking with him and we came across this one room school house from the early 1900's. Settlers came during the typhoid epidemic. They built this school BY HAND (as you will see, the hand planing and dove tail joiners).

I can imagine, that life was anything but easy for these settlers. Yet, they created sustainable beauty, functionality, paved a way for learning and gathering.

Sometimes the most simple, straightforward pictures have the biggest impact. Melia has the most kind and gentle spirit I have met. She is also a budding photographer and we have had so much fun dreaming up photo shoots together.

Side note: Senior picture time is here, and it’s basically like Christmas for me. It truly is the most wonderful time of the year. I love connecting with each senior, documenting this stage in life for them (and their families) and making it a fun time for all. I have a few more spaces for this year, and would love to meet some new faces. Referrals are always my favorite way to meet and are appreciated . 🙂

Devin + Kelly = SO MUCH LOVE.

Devin and Kelly's wedding was the most intimate, sincere day. The saying love is in the air...well, the air was THICK with so much love and admiration for one another and their supportive family.

The plan for their original wedding was changed due to COVID and they invested their hearts and soul into a small intimate wedding. It was such a special experience, filled with smiles and laughter, stolen glances (ahem, Devin...), and so many special moments. Yes, I cried. More than once.
