One of my very favorite things to do before a new school year begins is our prayer walk at Fort White High School. π€β₯οΈ
There is something so powerful about watching our staff, students, families, community members, pastors, and church members come together with one purpose: to pray over our school and place this year in Godβs hands.
We walk the halls, worship, pray, and ask God to go before us in every classroom, office, hallway, athletic field, and heart. We pray that every student who walks through these doors will feel seen, known, loved, valued, and surrounded by His presence every single day.
We pray for our teachers and staff who pour their whole hearts into their students. We pray for their strength when they are tired, their wisdom when they face difficult decisions, their patience when days are hard, and their guidance as they lead and love these kids.
We pray for protection over our school and for Godβs peace to fill every corner. We pray that Fort White High School will be a place where students feel safe, supported, encouraged, and loved.
And most of all, we pray that our students see Jesus in us. Even in moments when we may not be able to speak His name, I pray they recognize Him through the way we speak, the way we treat others, the way we teach, the way we lead, and the way we coach.
βLet all that you do be done in love.β β 1 Corinthians 16:14
βCommit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.β β Proverbs 16:3
I am so incredibly thankful to work in a county and at a school with administrators, teachers, staff, coaches, and community members who understand that we are nothing without God. What a blessing it is to serve alongside people who arenβt afraid to pray, worship, and put God first. ππΌ
As we begin the 2026β2027 school year, my prayer is simple:
God, go before us. Protect our school. Strengthen our teachers. Guide our leaders. Cover our students. Fill these halls with Your presence. Let everything we do point others back to You.
I know God is faithful. I know He will see us through every challenge, every victory, every hard day, and every beautiful moment ahead.
