I’d love you to see this photo of me and see a woman who has her life all put together, but I’ll let you in on a secret. Five minutes before this photo was taken, I was running around in a wrinkled robe trying to get my lights set up, the necklace that was still in my hand got caught on a doorknob and broke, my feral children were running amok, and my husband informed me that I gave him the wrong measurements for this setup (oops), so he had to make some weird last-minute adjustments using clothespins. I was constantly stepping out of frame between shots to fix my hair (it looks dang good though 😬), my stilettos were gorgeous but were killing my feet, and I’d barely eaten all day and was mildly hangry.

All this to say, I GET IT when you arrive to your session frazzled and stressed. It’s a whole circus to get everyone to the location color-coordinated, happy(ish), and on time. I get you. I AM you.

But the best part of my job is proving how much the hassle is worth it. Ask me how many of clients (especially seniors) leave their sessions feeling like a cover model. Seeing people’s confidence come to life in front of my camera is my joy and part of my purpose.

Book the session. Text me if you need help coordinating outfits. Bring bribes for the kids. Whatever you need. But get the photos taken.

Fun fact, my mom took this photo of me when I demoted my husband from photographer to equipment manager (don’t worry, he was thrilled 🤣), and she’s pretty proud that I picked one of her photos to edit and post. Good job, Mom. 👏🏻🫶🏻

My cousin, who happens to be a fancy-pants professor at UT Austin, has "Dr." in front of her name, and writes whole, entire BOOKS, wanted some new professional photos. While we got plenty of formal headshots in-studio, we also cut loose out in the field and got these gems that have me low key obsessed. Who says academia can't be smokin hot, too?

While I've been in business for the past decade, here's a few things you may or may not know about me (peep the last one especially!):

1. I've been married for 15 years to my first love, and we have three daughters together.

2. I'm a Grand Lake girlie, born, raised, and still residing in the community.

3. I'm an avid reader, averaging 100+ books a year. Abby Jimenez is my favorite author (because duh).

4. I love all things beauty. Few things bring me as much joy as a gorgeous pair of stilettos, new makeup, or a fantastic perfume. Do not, however, expect this version of me at your session. 😬

5. I'm a choir leader at the same church where my husband is the worship leader.

6. I used to teach kindergarten and first grade, but I knew almost immediately that I'd chosen the wrong career.

7. My family makes fun of my very eclectic music tastes. In the span of a few minutes in the car, I can go from Cece Winans to *NSYNC, to Dolly Parton, and I'm going to sing along with ALL of it. Loudly.

8. We're in the early stages of creating a magazine-worthy backyard. It's nice to have a husband with a green thumb who can also build pretty much anything.

9. After swearing I'd never do wedding photography, I have my first three weddings on the books for this fall and early 2027.

10. After winning the American Press contest for Best Photographer and Best Photography Company last year, I'm nominated AGAIN for 2026! If you'd like to support me this year, hit the links below! You can vote every day this month!
