⚠️🌀TROPICAL STORM EDOUARD STRENGTHENS🌀⚠️

Tropical Storm Edouard has been steadily strengthening and is looking very healthy on it's approach to the coastal / border area.

You can almost see an eye structure trying to form from radar and there is a lot of deeper convection going up around the center. The NHC is expecting winds sustained near 65mph at landfall.

Areas from Port Arthur to Lake Charles should be prepared for a strong tropical storm and near hurricane conditions at times!

⚠️🌀TROPICAL STORM EDOUARD🌀⚠️

Tropical Storm Edouard has formed in the Gulf tonight! With winds sustained at 40mph and a central pressure of 1005mb, he's not a pretty storm.

Right now the storm is looking rather ragged, with an almost completely exposed core. Although the NHC and some models do think a rapid recovery will occur and the official NHC peak intensity is at 60mph before landfall tomorrow night!

Landfall seems to be narrowing down on Port Arthur, , but areas to the west and east (into western coastal ) will still feel the affects.

Landfall will be sometime early tomorrow nigjt! Make sure if you are in these areas you have your hurricane plans in place and ready to go! Even if it's just a tropical storm, heavy rains can cause flooding and the strong winds can cause power outages!

‼️🌀Potential Tropical Cyclone 5!🌀‼️

We now have PTC 5 in the Gulf! PTC 5 should strength into a weak Tropical Storm by this evening or tonight, then make landfall sometime Tuesday night near the / border!

Right now it's looking fairly well organized, and official wind estimates at landfall are around 45mph.
Some additional strengthening isn't out of the question, especially given the environment it's in, but I wouldn't except anything too crazy out of it!

Either way it'll bring lots of wind & rain to the Eastern Texas/Western Louisiana gulf coasts!

Invest 97L in the northern Gulf is looking very healthy this morning. Convection has started to really take off over night and models seem to he attempting to do "catch-up" on intensity forecasts.

While this storm likely won't be anything crazy, a strong tropical storm or low-end hurricane is definitely on the table given low wind shear and warm water temps!🌀

🌀RIDING OUT A CAT 4 HURRICANE!🌀

At 150mph, Hurricane Laura is tied for the strongest Hurricane to make landfall in the state of Louisiana!
This video documents my journey through this crazy storm, starting out mild, then a whole skyscraper getting blown apart!

Hard to believe it's already been six years since this beast of a storm crashed into the gulf coast....

We have Tropical Storm now in the Atlantic!
Right now she's a very ragged storm, battling lots of dry air to the north & east of it, with small area of convection around the the southern half of the system.

Right now this is nothing to worry about outside of the Lesser Antilles, which could see some tropical storm force winds and rain in the coming days.
