A little behind-the-scenes update. ✨

Lately, I’ve been pivoting my editing style and focusing more on true-to-color edits with rich contrast while still telling stories the way I always have through my camera. As much as I love creating a cinematic feel, I also want to honor the colors, details, and intentional planning my couples put into their wedding days.

Every bouquet, dress choice, table setting, and color palette deserves to be remembered authentically.

I wish I could share the bridal gallery I’m currently working on because it perfectly reflects this shift toward a true-to-color, film-inspired look, but y’all are going to have to wait until next week. 😉

Trust me… it’ll be worth it.

📢 Important Business Update

Moving forward, I will no longer be publicly sharing family photos or images that clearly show children’s faces on my business pages.

While I will absolutely continue offering lifestyle newborn sessions, family sessions, milestone sessions, and children’s birthday sessions, I have made the personal decision to stop using these images in my public advertising. This change is being made out of respect for privacy and as an added safety measure for both my family and yours.
Over the coming weeks, I will also be removing previously posted images that feature my own children and yours.

For clients who choose not to share their children’s faces online, I will be intentional about capturing a variety of beautiful “faceless” images during your session so you still have meaningful photos to share publicly while protecting your child’s privacy.

Thank you for understanding and supporting this change. My goal has always been to create timeless images while respecting each family’s comfort level and boundaries.

📣 Important Business Update

I will be away from work this week while I pack, clean, and move my family from the Grand Lake area to the DeQuincy area.

At the same time, I'm navigating some unexpected health challenges after discontinuing medical ma*****na that was originally prescribed to help with sleep, appetite, and anxiety. Unfortunately, it recently began triggering panic attacks instead of helping, so I've made the decision to stop using it and focus on getting healthy again.

I'm handling most of this move on my own while my husband works as much overtime as possible so we can catch up on bills and stay afloat during a time when so many families are feeling the strain of today's economy.

I appreciate everyone's patience, understanding, and support while I work through this transition.

Business Update 🤍

On Tuesday, I became ill on my way home from New Orleans with what seemed to be a nasty stomach bug. After a rough few days, I was discharged from the hospital this morning around 9 a.m. after being treated for severe dehydration. While I’m finally starting to feel like I’m on the mend, I’m still recovering and taking things slowly.

If you’re currently waiting on proofs or final galleries, please know that I’m working through them as my energy allows. It’s been a challenging 72 hours, but I’m doing my best to get caught up while prioritizing recovery.

I truly appreciate your patience, understanding, and grace during this time. I know how exciting it is to receive your images and choose your favorites, and I can’t thank you enough for your support while I get back on my feet.

Motherhood is learning that your heart can live outside your body,
walking through the world in tiny shoes and sleepy eyes.

It is the weight of a newborn on your chest,
the ache in your arms when they grow too heavy to carry,
and the ache in your soul when they no longer need to be carried at all.

It is sleepless nights and early mornings,
sticky fingers and endless questions,
laundry that never ends and love that never runs out.

It is watching pieces of yourself come alive in another person,
your smile, your stubbornness, your laughter,
yet realizing they were never yours to keep.

Motherhood is fierce and gentle all at once.
It is worrying constantly, loving endlessly,
and finding strength on days when you feel you have none left.

It is knowing that one day they will grow,
they will wander, they will become their own story,
but every chapter will still carry traces of your love.

And through every season, every milestone, every goodbye to who they once were,
a mother stands quietly in the background,
holding memories in one hand and hope in the other.

Because motherhood is not just raising children,
it is falling in love, over and over again,
with every version of them they become. ❤️
