I didn't want to be left out of the current trend of all the photographers trying their hand at watercolor renditions of their photos, since we all have a little extra time to spend indoors. Here are a few of my first attempts! 🎨🖼👩🏻‍🎨

To my clients: in these tough times, I would be happy to help light up your day a little by providing one free watercolor "painting" from your session with me. Message me before the end of the week to claim the offer, and be sure to let me know which photo you'd like for me to use. (I've found that closeup shots work best for this, but I'm willing to try anything!)

A few previews from Mardi Gras with Becky! We were at Port Orleans for her birthday photoshoot, but since it happened to be Mardi Gras, we had just enough time before we lost all our daylight to have an outfit change and take a few more festive photos!

A lot of people are surprised that I manage to get theme park photos with no people in the background. There are a few ways I manage that. Mostly, I know what spots usually look nice and have no passersby if you wait long enough, even on a crowded day like this.

However, sometimes the subject of my photo looks the absolute best during a little window when there is someone in the background. This beautiful little princess finally looked right at me just as someone pushed a stroller behind her, and I couldn't get her to replicate that expression again when we had a clear background. That's when Photoshop is my best friend! It's not always possible to completely edit background crowds out, but I think this edit turned out well!

On our second day in Hong Kong, we took a serene bus ride through the hills of Lantau Island to Ngong Ping Village, where we marveled at the splendor of Po Lin Monastery and climbed the 268 steps to Big Buddha.
