One of the greatest compliments a photographer can receive has very little to do with photography.

There’s something about being by the water this time of year. 🤍

The breeze feels a little lighter, the sun lingers a little longer, and every moment seems to slow down just enough to take it all in. For couples, it creates the perfect setting to step away from the noise of the day and simply be together. And of course, be photographed!

Whether it's along the shoreline of Lake Michigan or another favorite waterfront spot, these are the portraits that feel effortless years later. Just the two of you, the water, the light, and a moment that still feels exactly the way it did when it happened.

Engagement photos are not simply about announcing a wedding.

They are about remembering who you were in this season of life. How you laughed together, how you reached for each other without thinking, the routines and rituals that made your relationship yours.

For Ellie and Dylan, that meant bringing along the two dogs who are part of their everyday life and documenting a chapter that felt honest to who they are right now.

Because years from now, these photographs will not just remind them that they were engaged. They will remind them of the way they lived, loved, and existed together. And it is my honor to capture it!!
