As we head into our next orders window, I’ve been thinking a lot about military communities.
Great Lakes has probably been my most challenging duty station, but it’s also reminded me how much I truly love this life. The military community, the traditions, the ships, the sound of helicopters and jets overhead, all the little things I didn’t realize I missed until they weren’t part of my everyday life anymore.
I don’t know where the Navy will send us next, but for the first time in a while, I’m genuinely excited to find out.
Here’s to new orders, new adventures, and finding our next home. 🥂🇺🇸
