Summer sessions are some of my favorite sessions 💛

I left this session feeling like this is what family sessions are supposed to be like. Walking into a house where a newborn just came home immediately feels special. Amongst the known chaos and the regular stresses of family photos there is also a sense of peace. I'm not sure I can articulate it but I will try to paint the picture of what a beautiful fall Sunday this was. Dad was calm and supportive. Mom naturally checks all the things and takes care of all the things but also truly glowing. Kids have the excitement of a new baby brother and are in pure awe of him. Little miss specifically stays by mom's side being her little helper. Wait it gets better.... Grandma comes and the kids are beyond happy to see her. Lasagna is baking in the oven (made by a someone else :)). The session ends with mom in her comfies while I get to play with a perfectly sleeping baby and Dad has a glass of wine waiting for Mom in the kitchen. The house smells delicious and I almost didn't leave. This party of five is truly a pleasure to know and I am elated for them and their new perfect addition.

Here is the thing about newborns... I love every expression so choosing photos to edit is killer. Finally I said screw it and did all of them. Getting a kid shot with a newborn can be tricky but I am in love with these!

I am BEHIND... like a behind I have never been before. I have not shared many sessions because I am trying to just crank them out and I have not checked my email since my kids aren't in school anyways and I am pretty sure it's is going to bite me in the bum but I am slowly but surely getting there. Hope everyone is having a wonderful fall enjoying this insanely good weather!!
