If you are FB friends with me, then you may have seen the announcement. It just dawned on me that I haven’t posted on the business side. That’s the kind of craziness it’s been since the beginning of July when I was offered a full time position in Oklahoma City.

Our goal after Anthony completed his PhD was to be closer to family. An opportunity arose for me that lead us to move back to Oklahoma. It was a true leap of faith to pack up all our belonging and leave a place we called home for 9 years! When we left on Monday, August 21st, I had so many mixed emotions. I was utterly exhausted by packing + cleaning, plus we also had spent the month before traveling + saying goodbye to friends. I didn’t have much extra time to think about how monumental all this was going to be! To be frank, I miss New Jersey more than I ever imagined I would. I came to love the crazy, fast-paced world that is Jersey. When anyone asks, I always say that I miss the grocery store + access to the abundance of fresh vegetables in the summer! Even the Whole Foods here is meh. (I know I’m totally selling Oklahoma, huh?! :D) One day I’ll get over it!

I’m also happy to make note that Anthony was offered his dream job three weeks after we moved here. It’s incredible to think that we had to create, experience, + overcome a whole lot of adversity before we both got exactly what we wanted in our careers! I’ll share more about his new position after he gets started in it (tomorrow!!!).

I type all this up to also announce that I’m coming back to New Jersey in a few weeks to photograph a wedding + a few family sessions! I’m opening up my Saturday to add in anyone else that is interested in a mini or full session on Saturday, October 21st. Please email me at [email protected] to reserve your time!
