I am a photographer in Orange County, CA. I love photographing children of all ages and their families. You never know what will happen next!

As a mom of two boys, I understand how crazy kids can be. This is why I give suggestions or prompt and seldom pose them. I prefer to watch them interact with family members and/or props and see what happens! It is different every time! I feel this also yields a more honest and natural image.

Do you have kids who think this is true?!

My oldest is soooo bored if the tv is off. Literally the first thing he asks for when he wakes up, gets picked up from school and after we finish meals is if he can watch!

How are you managing screen time during the summer?? We have a chore chart were they have to earn their tv time. Honestly it worked for about a week and I was so happy with it. Now we are lucky if one kid earns 20 minutes! 🤣 What do you do? Can you tell us in the comments so other moms will get great ideas?!

Raise you hand if you love camping!!! 🙋‍♀️

I guess I didn't believe my siblings when they told me you needed a to book a campsite 6 months ahead of time cuz their wasn't any sites when we tried to get some this summer!! ⛺️

So...backup plan...backyard camping!! This was a new experience for us. We have never had a backyard before! What is your favorite thing about camping in the backyard?? Sleeping in your own bed, eating a real meal, not having to travel far...?

Hehehe! I love this!! Probably because I say random things all the time! 🤣 Mostly with movie quotes! I guess the random people in my life have rubbed off on me!

I think the best way to get the kids active during the summer is to take them to a park!! Don't you think? Parks have it all! Kids ready to play with, interesting things to do, they are free and outside!

Oc has so many parks we are still exploring the ones close to home, but the kids have their favorites! This list might change as we visit new parks. Check out the Curry's top 5 park list on my blog!

What is your favorite board game to play with the family??

We tend to go with the classics...Sorry and Monopoly, but Headbands is making its way up the list. Although I think my favorite was when my kids and some neighbor kids broke out Hungry Hungry Hippos! One minute they were complaining about not being able to play video games, the next they were playing a very intense game of Hungry Hungry Hippos right on the sidewalk! LOVE IT!

Let's face it summer is awesome, but keeping the kids moving can be exhausting...and expensive!

It doesn't have to be though! I have done some research, since it is our first full summer in CA, and found some free (or really cheap!) summer fun that the family will enjoy!

In the era of Netflix and binge watching it is pretty easy to catch up on shows. But it takes some serious commitment to watch EVERY. SINGLE. SHOW! Especially when shows have 12+ seasons!

Time to spill the guilty pleasures! Post a gif of a tv series that you have seen every episode of, and lets see if we can guess it!

Ahh summer reading! Reading by poolside with a cold drink and watching the kids play...does it get better than that?

What is the last book you have read? I tend to bounce back and forth between romance comedies to sci-fi paranormal teen books. Hey, don't judge! Let's give each other some good examples to expand our reading lists this summer! Can you tell us the last good book in the comments?!

P.S. Summer reading programs for kids are awesome!! There are two different library systems (public and county) by me and both have reading programs! Prizes for reading?!? Yes please! Check out your local library for more info! Hurry cuz the reading program at MV library is only a month and a half long!!

How do you make your own sunshine when the weather misbehaves?!?

This past week the weather has been weird hasn't it!! Not quite up to the California hype!

What do you do when the weather is less than perfect? Do embrace it and do outside things while its still cool out or prefer to head inside?

Do your kids get really antsy when they are inside too long??
Mine definitely do! And there are only so many days two active boys can walk around the mall or go to the library or do crafty projects at home or play at the play yard in McDonalds! (That was basically my day last Thursday! 🤣)

Can you give us some ideas in the comments to help mommas fight off stay-at-home summer boredom and make our own sunshine?!
