The Rogers 🤍🐚

We shot this session on a whim in 45 minutes. In the moment it felt a bit chaotic and messy as we were running against the clock. In the end we were able to capture a set of images that truly make me emotional to look at. A perfect balance of giddy joy, a sense of calm and radiating love is what I see in these images. A snapshot in time of raising little humans.

Our little angel joined us earth side on September 24, 2021 at 6:19pm and she couldn’t be more perfect 🤍

We are in complete awe of this little miracle and I cannot believe we get to be her parents 🥺 22 hours of labor brought you to us and I would do it all over again for you, my love.

I have never been so happy to be blogging another wedding! After an 8 month break of weddings due to the pandemic I FINALLY got to get behind the camera and oh lordyyyy was this a good one! Katie & Ryan were the first couple of mine to postpone when the pandemic hit back in April 2020. A year and two postponements later, they finally got to have their special day, just in time to celebrate their one year wedding anniversary!...

There’s a reason I’ve been so quiet over here 👀

It’s true, it’s happening. We are moving... again. For many of us the last year has a complete whirlwind. But one thing I am thankful for is that perspective it gave me. It’s allowed me to see my life in a new light. It’s allowed me to put in perspective the things that are truly important and the things that truly make me happy in life.

I’m beyond thankful for this past year of my life here in California. Ever since I was a little girl it’s always been a dream of mine to get out of my small town in Virginia and see what more is out there. To adventure, live freely, and create a life that makes me happy. I’m so proud that I get to tell my younger self we did it. We accomplished our biggest dream and have created so many amazing memories and learned so many lessons along the way.

SoCal will always have a place in my heart. It will alway be a place that I remember feeling so free and happy. It will also forever be my place of gratitude. For teaching me the lessons I needed to learn in life to push me even closer to my happiness. It’s a place that has taught be how to make tough decisions, like to decision to leave to follow what brings me my happiness. I will leave this incredible place with a full heart, ready and excited for what the future holds. We are heading back east to a place that we’ve always know was home...
