It’s been a minute (more like 7 months worth) since posting. Between pandemics, renovations, elections, and moving a family of six - I felt a little break would do me some good. 🧘🏻‍♀️ BUT - this beauty deserved a post of her very own, and on a day like today I’m grateful for the peaceful nature of her gallery as I scroll through for the 100th time. 💙 Oh, and just in case you haven’t heard, it’s Election Day so get out there and !! ✅🇺🇸

My hubby and I recently went to Norway for a quick getaway. He had work, and I had to go to Norway so it just seemed right. 😏 We had the most wonderful few days, but missed our kiddos like crazy!! It never ceases to amaze me how I ache for time to myself, ache for moments alone with my husband, without a melt down, without a room full of 1000000 questions all at the same time, and then the instant I get it I feel my heart slowing breaking, aching for all of that stress, all of the noise, and all of the absolute perfect love from those imperfect babies of ours. This Mama is grateful for that time away, but oh so grateful to be back with my people. 🥰

I’d love to say organization and preparedness comes naturally to me, and to be honest I think it used to... and then I had four kids. My brain is mush. Actual mush, that can only think about like 48 hours at a time, at best! Which is why I was preparing valentines for four children only yesterday, after having like an entire month to deal with it. Also important to note one of those kids insisted on juice box robots. Robots you guys. But he helped out a lot, learned to use a glue gun and only burned himself 19 times. Happy “almost” Valentine’s Day for those who stayed up way too late making robots, heart shaped sandwiches, pink pancakes, or just slapping some names on a pack of skittles. All of this matters, and you mama are magic! 💕

Boy moms, can we talk about boys for a minute? More specifically lazy boys? Because it took my 7 year old 25 minutes to put on his baseball pants yesterday, then realized he forgot underwear (which means he went to school commando), and after putting pants on again, with underwear this time, struggled to put on his cleats because he “mistakingly” put on two pair of socks. Translation - was too lazy to take off his socks from school, so just put his baseball socks on over them instead. Why? Why? Why????? Will this ever change or should I just start preparing a warning manifesto for his future wife now? 🤔

It is chilly, chilly, chilly... which calls for *chili* for dinner. See what I did there?! 😜 Do you have a fav chili recipe? Like your go to, standard chili, never wavering recipe? Or do you like to try something new every time? We recently stumbled upon The Best Vegetarian Bean Chili, from and I just can’t stray away from it. It’s a little bit more work, with a few not so standard chili ingredients like Marmite, (honestly what even is marmite?!) but it’s so very tasty!! Plus, it’s vegan so I’m extra winning. 🙌🏻

I saw a post the other day, something about it being January 74th, and OMG I am feeling it!! This. Month. Is. Taking. Forever. But also, I still have a Christmas tree up in my kids playroom soooo, I suppose I shouldn’t be begging for February just yet. 😏 Happy hump day, here’s hoping I can report a tree-less house by tomorrow.
