Connie wasn’t only competing for the title of America’s Fit Woman. She was standing for every woman who thinks it’s too late.

She already held the title Texas Fit woman and wanted to compete for America's Fit Woman when she came in for her headshots.

She's a personal trainer who wakes up every day to get women to believe that strong, healthy and active isn't reserved for the young. It's for right now. Whatever age that is.

Your only job on photoshoot day is to have fun.

That's it.

Hair and makeup is handled.
Outfits are planned.

Do a little dance.
And walk through the door ready to feel like yourself.

The rest of the day is mine to carry.

When I started my career as a portrait photographer, I focused on perfect lighting, flattering poses, and post-editing. I thought if I could capture beauty, women would finally see how beautiful they are.

But the more women I photographed, the more I realized something deeper:
They didn’t need to be made beautiful. They needed to see they already were.
It wasn’t about the camera. It was about the mirror they’d been holding for years—the one filled with judgment, comparison, and doubt.

I saw it happen mid-session, again and again: A woman walks in nervous, unsure. And slowly, as we shoot, she begins to laugh. To stand taller. To soften.

Then she sees the first preview and says something like: "Oh my gosh... that's me?"

That’s when I knew: My job isn’t to take beautiful photos. My job is to help women remember who they are.

Because when you see yourself—really see yourself—you start showing up differently. In your business. In your relationships. In your life.
