Today, these two get to say yes to forever 🤎
I cannot wait to celebrate a new beginning over these sweet friends. To feel the anticipation building as the day progresses. To feel, to see, to notice those moments in the in-between. To cry during the vows and once again during the formal dances. To laugh, to celebrate, and feel joy overtake the room. What a gift to simply be a part.

Madison and Josh, let’s get you two married! 🤎

Details ✨
Every choice Amber + Devin made for their wedding day at was intentional. From the way the light filtered through the windows to the thoughtful touches that made the space feel like theirs. I’ll forever be a fan of capturing the details because they’re pieces of a bigger story.

The beautiful pops of color just as we gear up to welcome Spring. The elegance of her dress. The carefully chosen venue that held so much beauty in every corner. All of it mattered because it was theirs and it felt like them. When you look back at your wedding photos years from now, it’s these details, woven together with all the big moments, that help you remember exactly how your day felt.

Look for the storyteller. The one who sees your own as something worth telling…and something to honor. A storyteller notices those moments caught in the in-between. The way your hands naturally find each other. The glances that give you butterflies all over again. Those deep breaths just before you walk down the aisle.

Storytellers go beyond just pressing a button - they pay close attention. They know something is about to unfold and they watch closely. Then they take those moments and weave them into a beautiful visual narrative.

Because anyone can have perfectly posed photos that look nice on greeting cards, but not everyone has an album full of photos that tell the story of their lives.

The kind of photos you’ll sit down with years from now and say, “Let me tell you about this moment.” And suddenly, with a smile on your face, you remember exactly the way it felt - not just the way it looked.

So, look for the storyteller. Because you have a story and it deserves to be told and preserved through beautiful imagery.

I read this quote the other day and it stopped me in my tracks.

“The pictures you take are created from a vision only you possess. No one before you and no one after will ever see the world exactly as you did in that moment.”

It’s never just two people standing in front of a camera.
It’s the way he brushes her hair back without thinking.
The way she laughs before she even realizes she’s doing it. The in-between glances. The almost-kisses.

It’s the way his hands shook before he saw her dressed in white. The way she exhaled when the doors opened.
The way their people looked at them - proud, teary, in awe. The moment they got to say “yes” to forever.

No one else stood exactly where I stood.
No one else saw the light hit her veil that way.
And no one else will ever see it exactly the way I saw it in that second - through my lens, in that light, in that feeling.

The most I can give are those feelings weaved together through a beautiful visual narrative to help tell that story.

What a gift it is to take a photograph.
To freeze a moment that will never exist again.
Not just to document how it looked…
but to honor how it felt.

And I’ll never take that lightly.
