Sharing with you a heartwarming salute from some very good friends. John & Julie, you captured the essence of our shop.
Camera Outfitters Salute
In Lafayette town, on a quaint little street,
Stood Ross and Rena’s shop—a community treat.
A haven of lenses, of cameras galore,
But their charm was what brought folks back through the door.
For years they clicked memories, captured each smile,
Offering wisdom and laughs all the while.
From Polaroids’ flash to the sleek DSLR,
They knew every gadget, no matter how far.
“Need help with your focus?” Ross would proclaim,
With a wink that would soften the trickiest frame.
And Rena, with patience, would guide you along,
Till even your outtakes seemed perfectly strong.
Through thick and through thin, they steadied their course,
A small town’s entrepreneurs, true to their source.
They taught us that business is more than just sales—
It’s building a heart where each story prevails.
They gave more than pictures; they gave us their time,
And made every visit feel warm and sublime.
They cared for the town like it was their own kin,
With kindness and love that could light up the dim.
Now, as they retire, we raise a big cheer,
For the years of good service and laughter so dear.
“Want one last discount?” Ross jokes with a grin,
“Before we pack up and the next phase begins.”
So here’s to the Aikens, who captured life’s best—
May their new days be filled with joy and some rest.
Lafayette will miss them, their humor, their grace,
But they’ve left behind love in every old face.
(With love, John & Julie)
